Anodizing

Anodizing is an electro-chemical process to retain the metallic appearance which makes aluminium possible to exploit its strength and lightness in a large number of applications, particularly in building and construction. Schimmer Metal Standard is equipped with horizontal anodizing facilities. We offer our customers with wide range of colors such as clear, light bronze, dark bronze and black colors.

The thickness of the aluminium oxide “anodized” coating can be varied by processing time. The depth of anodized coating may be varied according to application

25 Micron is recommended for heavy duty external permanent architectural application where little deterioration can be tolerated. 15 Micron is recommended for the majority of ordinary architectural requirements. 10 Micron is suitable for internal application and outdoor applications where cleaning is very frequent.
